 From the early 1930s to 2004, the Director's Cabin was a cabin on the driveway as you head down the hill to the lodge. It was rebuilt in 2004 as [[Chief's Cabin]], with a basement and full insulation to make it a year round building. [[William "Chief" Brewster]] lived in the Director's Cabin for many summers and many other [[director]]s lived there over the years.  It was in the perfect spot for the director being on the driveway which made it the hub for activity going up and down the hill.  It also had a wonderful porch that had an eagle eye view of almost the entire campus.
