The MWA is short for the Maine Wilderness Adventure. The three-week long trip was originally run in conjuction with Camp Runioa, a girls camp based in Belgrade Lakes, ME. Currently, it is only offered through Birch Rock and is just for boys.
The MWA is a trip designed to give 13 year old campers an adventure involving as much as the Maine Wilderness as possible. The trip involves hiking, summitting Mount Katadin, white water rafting, canoeing the US/Canada border, sea kayaking, and rock climbing in Acadia National Park.
