A Birch Rock banner is a banner each camper receives at his first badge cerimony. One can stick his badges to his banner to display them and not lose them.  People that have had many years as a camper may have so many badges that they cover their entire banner. Badges often they fall off over the years, in which case you may wish to sew them on. Some campers and counselors bring their banners to camp to hang up in their cabins.
