Over the years the staff has reworked to deal with the water route and solidify the cabins footers. Birch Rock has a natural spring that comes up above ground just up hill of Four. This spring has often run the water right down under the cabin and in fact, in the mid-'80s the cabin was closed because BRC was concerned it might buckle.
