After that there was a period when each camper carved his name into a small plaque and all of the individual pieces were nailed up together at the end of the year. Now the plaques are made by a group of counselors using a router so they can look good. Lately the plaques have become more ornate, incorporating carvings of the animals that represent each age group and large top plaques for the year. Now there is very little space for new plaques in the lodge. Before putting up the new plaques last year many old plaques were moved around to take up less space. A possible place to put new plaques in the basement of the lodge or in the boat house. | |
