Hold your horses! Are you sure this file has not already been uploaded? Birocapedia has almost twenty five hundred pictures, you know. If you know what year your picture was from then look in this index of pictures to find the one you want to use. If the picture you want to upload was in the Daily Journal then it has most likely already been uploaded.
One more thing—If you know what year the picture that you want to upload is from, then in the summary box copy in [[Category:Pictures from year]] with year being the numerical year like 2000. Or use the nifty new menu. This will put the image into a page like Category:Pictures from 2000 with the rest of the images from that year.
To view or search previously uploaded files go to the list of uploaded files, (re)uploads are also logged in the upload log, deletions in the deletion log.
To include a file in a page, use a link in one of the following forms:
- [[Image:File.jpg]] to use the full version of the file
- [[Image:File.png|thumb|caption]] to use a 200 pixel wide rendition in a box in the right margin with 'caption' as the caption
- [[Media:File.gif]] for directly linking to the file without displaying the file
