Two-term camper in 1947 through 1949. Many fond memories, including in no particular order; earning my 4th Bar in riflery, finally working up enough courage to dive off the top of the tower, swimming across Lake McWain, earning Junior Life Saving award at age 13, and a day in Portland with Chief Brewster choosing a fly rod as my third year award. A life lesson; at breakfast in the lodge, being lifted out of my chair by the back of my neck by Chief Brewster and deposited on a bench outside after refusing a little too loudly about not drinking my mandatory glass of milk. And a couple not so fond; falling from the top of my cabin's ramp and cracking a rib, and the day when all campers were returned to their cabins after breakfast while the adults searched for a missing employee, found drowned in the swimming area.
