In the '70s, during the off-season, Cabin 3 had a large tree come down on it and needed repairs to it's roof and rafters.  This is why the rafters seem lower and a little different from the other lower camp cabins.

Cabin 3 is the fifth cabin in Lower Camp. It holds four campers, a counselor, and sometimes a CIT. It is also known as Quartz from when the lower camp cabins were named after minerals. Cabin 3 goes on Trips with and has Cabin Night with Cabin 4, even though they are in different age groups.
