This is the person(s) responsible for the overall summer.  Signing up campers, hiring staff, maintenance, accounting, budgeting, training, payroll, etc. From 1926 to 1972 this was the role of one of the original founders William "Chief" Brewster. There have been a number of great people since Chief who have held the Directors position and most continue to stay in touch with the Birch Rock community for life.
