Thomas Joyce is a Birch Rock legend that started as a camper at age twelve. He moved up through the ranks in his many years at Birch Rock. He went from counselor to head counselor, a title which he kept for many years. In the 2008 season he lived in Albert's Cabin and taught woodshop.
For the last week of second session 2008 he led MWA. From kayaking in Machais to rock-climbing in Bar Harbor he brought to the hungry adventurers culinary wisdom in his preparations of moose steak and the classic Birch Rock Camp trip flambé.
